What’s on this week at Maker Studio? 2nd-6th March
It’s a busy week of crochet in the studio, with classes for beginners, returning makers and our brilliant after school group.
Wednesday
Our monthly Beginners’ Crochet Course is now in week four. It’s been lovely to see everyone’s confidence building as they practise their stitches and start to feel at home with hook and yarn.

Friday Morning
Our Adult Beginners Crochet Class is a friendly introduction to crochet with award winning designer Kate McCully. You’ll learn how to hold your hook, tension your yarn and work the essential beginner stitches. It’s the perfect starting point before moving on to our more advanced crochet classes. We run this weekly and it fills very quickly.

Friday Afternoon
During term time, Friday afternoons are for our After School Crochet Club. Our young crocheters work on a different project each term, learning new stitches and techniques each week with expert guidance from Kate - you can see examples of Kates beautiful work displayed around the shop.

Saturday
This Saturday is week one of our Crochet Your Own Hexi Cardigan course. Across four weeks, students make their own custom fitted cardigan and learn how to size and shape it for the perfect fit. We are now running our third course and the previous groups have created some beautiful cardigans. Take a look at our Instagram page to see what has been made.
We run this regularly. You will need to know the basics of crochet to join and our beginners class is the ideal preparation. The course includes all the yarn and hooks you will need.
