Learn a new crochet technique!

We are really excited to welcome back Eleonora Tully from Coastal Crochet to host another brilliant workshop. This time Eleonora will demonstrate ‘Tunisian Crochet’

Tunisian Crochet is a wonderful technique, often referred to as a bridge between crochet and knitting and is one of Eleonora’s most popular workshops. Eleonora has a lot of experience in teaching Tunisian Crochet and has had many Tunisian Crochet designs published in UK crochet magazines.

In this workshop Eleonora will teach you all you need to know to get started with Tunisian Crochet and how to get the best results with this fabulous technique. From Tunisian Simple Stitch to Tunisian Knit Stitch and other stitches too, as well as how to work interesting colour changes. The beauty of Tunisian crochet is that it produces a dense fabric making it a great technique for projects requiring strength or a more solid finish. That said, there are many lacy Tunisian stitches too.

Tunisian Crochet uses a specific Tunisian Crochet hook which is longer than traditional crochet hooks. Some are available with a cable at the end.

You will need to be able to crochet to take part in this workshop.

What to bring
You don't need to bring anything. Yarn and hooks will be available to use on the day.

But you are welcome to bring your own yarn with you if you do you need DK acrylic in 2 colours.

Went to the recent beginner lino print workshop here and had a really relaxing evening. Well organised, great staff and a lovely place to spend an evening crafting. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend.

Had my first crochet lesson this morning-such a calm relaxed setting and I can now crochet! It’s great to see these independent businesses setting up and sharing their knowledge with others. Already signed up for another workshop.

I really enjoyed my beginners crochet classes. They were fun and relaxed and I have learnt a lot. Kate is great, very patient & an inspirational tutor. She has given me the confidence to use the new skills I have leant to start my own crochet projects. I look forward to joining future classes that she holds.

Amazing place for anyone who loves arts and craft or excellent coffee! Kate is incredibly kind and patient. The sessions are well designed and thoughtfully set up. The group sizes are perfect. Sociable but small enough that you can ask tonnes of questions as you go. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a dream come true to have round the corner.
