Learn to crochet a Grocery Bag
This September, crochet a grocery bag in Hemp yarn with this simple yet stylish design. This project will take place over 2 classes:

Week one: Starting the bag, learn how to increase and make a circle (the base of the bag). Finish off the base at home ready for week 2.

Week two: Making the mesh section and handles.

What’s included?
- Four balls of hemp yarn - there are 6 colours to choose from. An email with more details will be sent out nearer the time.

- The pattern to take home. 

What to bring
You’ll need an 3.5mm hook (if you don’t have any we have them for sale). 

What you'll learn
- Increasing 
- How to make a circle
- Different stitch patterns to make different textures.

What you leave with
- A finished (or nearly finished) grocery bag
- The pattern to finish at home and to make more.

This is an improvers class, you must already know basic crochet stitches - double crochet (US single), treble crochet (US double), slip stitch and chain.

Your tutor - Kate Mccully
Kate is an award winning crochet designer, author and experienced crochet workshop tutor. She creates patterns and kits under the name Make Me Roar and writes patterns regularly for Magazine and yarn companies.. You can see some of Kate’s amigurumi crochet work on display in the window. Yes, that Kate, winner of Channel 4’s Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas. Ask her. She’s humble, but not that humble!
