Crochet an Amigurumi Bee!

Learn how to make the hugely popular Amigurumi soft toys. This course is for you if you have already done a little crochet (you don't need to be an expert, you just need to be able to do a double crochet stitch). We'll be making a beautiful bee in this class, a fun easy make. All ages welcome but you will need to know the basics of crochet.

If you don't finish the project in class, don't worry, you'll get all the materials and pattern to complete at home.

Can't crochet?  Dont worry you can book our taster crochet class where you'll learn the basics and will then be able to make this bee.

What you'll learn

Learn all the techniques to make this cute crocheted bee from the magic circle to decreasing and increasing to make 3D shapes. You may not finish in the 2 hours, but you are welcome to stay longer and Kate will be around for further help. You will also be able to take home the yarn and pattern to finish at home.

What to bring

- You don't need to bring anything.
- Yarn and hooks etc will be provided.
- Please arrive about 10 minutes earlier if you fancy a coffee or drink, so we can get it made in time to start.

Your tutor - Kate Mccully


Kate is an award winning crochet designer, author and experienced crochet workshop tutor. She creates patterns and kits under the name Make Me Roar and writes patterns regularly for magazines and yarn companies. You can see some of Kate’s amigurumi crochet work on display in the window.  Yes, that Kate, winner of Channel 4’s Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas. Ask her. She’s humble, but not that humble!

If you fail to turn up for your class you will need to book and pay for a new class/workshop.
