However, don't worry if you don't complete it in the lesson as you will be equipped with all the materials and an instruction booklet to complete at home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis is the perfect next course\u003c\/strong\u003e to develop your embroidery skills if you have attended our \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/maker-studio.co.uk\/products\/beginners-embroidery\" title=\"Beginners Embroidery Class\"\u003eBeginners Embroidery Class\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat you'll learn\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Ginger bread house is stitched with silver plated and copper metal threads, and embellished with Japanese glass beads.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYou'll learn stitches including:\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cbr\u003e- Brick couching\u003cbr\u003e- Cutwork\u003cbr\u003e- and working with Pearl Purl\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll traditional skills in this beautiful style of embroidery. The house is then cut out, backed and made into a a little hanging to adorn your tree.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat you'll get\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eA boxed kit with all the threads, backing fabric, needles, small hoop and an illustrated instruction booklet.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat you'll need to bring\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEmbroidery scissors, if you have a favourite pair, but  we'll also have spares in the studio.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis is a 5 hour workshop from 10am - 4pm\u003c\/strong\u003e with a hour lunch break in the middle. We'll have tea and coffee and biscuits available all day for free. For lunch there are plenty of places around Old Town - a couple of lovely pubs or there’s Waitrose and 2 beautiful parks for a picnic. If the weather's not great, you're welcome to bring food to the studio. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYour tutor - Becky Hogg\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBecky is an accomplished embroidery artist and experienced tutor with \u003cspan\u003eover 20 years as a professional hand embroiderer.  As a Royal College of Needle Work tutor and  professional embroidery artist her notable \u003c\/span\u003eprojects have included, embroidery for the Royal Opera House, lace appliqué for HRH \u003cspan\u003eCatherine, Princess of Wales'\u003c\/span\u003e wedding dress, projects for Gilbert and George and Alexander McQueen as well as kits for the V \u0026amp; A Museum.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe now works freelance from her studio in Hastings creating embroidery kits which bring together her love of nature and metal thread embroidery. Becky also teaches online and in person classes.
